• Using a steel tape measure, measure the distance from the top of where you want your blind to be to the bottom.
• Now measure the exact width you'd like your blind to be. This may be slightly larger than the with of the window recess.

2. Recess - This is used where the blind will be hung within the window recess.

• Using a steel tape measure, measure the drop from the top of the window recess to the window ledge. Check this measurement at various places across the window to make sure it's level.
• Measure the recess from wall to wall again checking to make sure it's the same across the height of the window.
